I remember in my younger years hunting wild quail with my dad in West Texas. Over the last few decades the wild quail have been decimated throughout much of the United States. Many quail hunters have longed for the days of old. Flushing large coveys of quail behind a pair of hard working bird dogs. Even though nature has taken away this opportunity, we have brought it back with big healthy Bobwhite quail that will scare the pants off you when the covey busts.

OUR INTENT

We strive to raise healthy mature gamebirds to give you an exciting hunt to enjoy with your friends and family.  We raise our bobwhite quail and pheasant from hatch to the flight pen.  You can come pick them up at our property in Perrin,Texas, or you can come hunting with us.

We provide guided hunts with our german short-haired pointers on our properties in Roby, Texas and Olney, Texas.  Choose whichever location is closer to you.

We begin raising bobwhite quail each summer to sell for hunting and training each year.  It takes 16 weeks for a bobwhite quail to reach maturity.  We begin them in our incubators to hatch, then our brooders to aid in staying warm in preparation for flight.  They end in the flight pen where they learn to fly and maneuvar. We also add milo, wheat, and corn at this stage to help them prepare to forage outdoors.  The intent is to make them as prepared as possible to live in the real world, fly as much like a native bird as possible, and give you the hunt of your life.

We also raise Ringneck Pheasant Cocks.  They are a very majestic and tough bird.  They are started as day old chicks.  They also are raised in the brooders before finished in flight pens.  Maturity comes at twenty weeks of age.  At week 5 blinders are put on them to deter canabalism and fighting.  The blinders or peeps are removed upon releasing them for hunting or training.
